Montepulciano & Sangiovese. The perfect synergy between two classic Italian grapes.
Rosso Piceno is the most historic and widely recognized red wine appellation in the Marche region, and this expression from Conti di Buscareto shows exactly why. The wine is created from a carefully balanced blend of Montepulciano and Sangiovese, grown on vines that benefit from the warm yet ventilated climate between the Adriatic Sea and the Apennines. Here, Montepulciano contributes structure, deep color, and body, while Sangiovese adds essential freshness, vibrancy, and aromatic elegance.
Traditional Vinification with a Focus on Fruit and Smoothness
Following a careful harvest, the grapes are gently destemmed and pressed. Fermentation and subsequent maceration take place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, ensuring that all fresh, primary fruit aromas remain intact. The wine is aged exclusively in steel and concrete tanks before bottling. This deliberate absence of oak allows the wine to present an amazingly pure, fruit-forward profile with beautifully rounded, soft tannins that make it approachable and inviting from the very first sip.
