Craftsmanship and Tradition from Radda in Chianti
“Il Labirinto” Toscana IGT is a tribute to the true essence of the Sangiovese grape. The grapes are grown in the mountainous, stony soils of Radda in Chianti—one of the absolute finest subregions in Tuscany. Every single cluster is harvested manually in late September to ensure optimal ripeness.
Natural Vinification in Concrete Tanks
Fattoria di Poggerino swears by natural craftsmanship. Fermentation begins spontaneously without the addition of cultured yeasts, taking place at controlled temperatures of 28°–30°C. The entire process, including 25 days of maceration with manual pumping over, occurs in traditional concrete tanks. Following malolactic fermentation, the wine ages for 10 months before bottling. The result is an exceptionally pure wine where oak barrels never obscure the gorgeous fruit.
