A “Baby Brunello” Packed with Energy and Elegance
From the same sunny, high-altitude slopes in Montalcino where Podere Giardino crafts their legendary Brunello comes this vibrant and extraordinarily inviting Rosso di Montalcino. Made from 100% Sangiovese Grosso (locally known as Brunello), the grapes are cultivated with uncompromising care and dedication. The soil—rich in schist and limestone—endows the fruit with classic Tuscan elegance and a fine mineral backbone.
Freshness and Fruit at the Forefront
While Brunello demands years of patient oak aging to tame its powerful tannins, the goal of a Rosso di Montalcino is to capture the grape’s fresh, juicy, and primary fruit character. Following a meticulous harvest and temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine ages for a shorter period in oak barrels before release. This gentle touch of wood rounds off the wine beautifully and integrates the tannins while leaving Sangiovese’s crisp, red berry flavors completely intact. The result is an exceptionally elegant red wine offering pure drinking pleasure from day one.
