“Fawarah” is a unique expression of how the international Syrah grape thrives in the Sicilian terroir. At Romano Vini, the vineyards in the Palermo province are cultivated according to proud organic traditions. The sunny climate combined with the fresh sea breeze allows the Syrah grapes to ripen perfectly, resulting in a red wine with impressive fruit concentration, soft tannins, and a wonderful natural acid balance.

Gentle Vinification Preserving the Grape’s Character

To ensure the absolute highest quality, the grapes are harvested exclusively by hand when they reach optimal ripeness. After a careful, temperature-controlled fermentation and maceration in stainless steel tanks, the wine is aged to round out its structure and integrate its complex aromas. The result is an extremely pure and juicy red wine that stays true to its Sicilian origins, completely free of heavy oak notes.

Tasting Notes

• Color: Deep ruby red with beautiful violet reflections at the rim.

• Nose: Intense, warm, and inviting. Opens up with rich aromas of ripe blackberries, blackcurrants, and plums, elegantly complemented by spicy undertones of black pepper, liquorice, and mild Mediterranean herbs.

• Palate: Full-bodied, round, and pleasantly enveloping on the palate. The wine delivers great fruit intensity and silky-soft tannins that make it remarkably harmonious. The finish is long, warm, and leaves a delightful spicy impression.
