Authentic Sicilian Character and Organic Respect
“Gaia” is a tribute to the Sicilian land and nature. The wine is produced by Romano Vini, who cultivate their vineyards in the hilly landscape of northwestern Sicily according to strict organic principles. The Catarratto grape is one of the island’s most historic and beloved white wine varieties. Thanks to the calcium-rich soil and cool sea breezes, the grapes achieve a perfect balance between intense fruit flavor and vibrant acidity.
Gentle Winemaking Focused on Purity
To preserve the natural aromas and freshness of the grapes, they are harvested exclusively by hand. Following a gentle pressing, the wine ferments in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine is subsequently aged sur lie (on the lees) for a period, giving “Gaia” a lovely richness, complexity, and elegant structure without losing its crisp and juicy character.
