Award-winning and powerful Tuscan red wine. The jewel from Talosa’s historic cellars.
Where the Rosso is a fresh introduction, the Vino Nobile di Montepulciano Riserva is the absolute essence of Fattoria della Talosa’s expertise. This wine is the result of strictly selected grapes from the winery’s oldest and finest vineyards (Pietrose). It ages slowly in historic 16th-century cellars located beneath the streets of Montepulciano, where perfect natural temperatures and humidity grant the wine its legendary structure and depth.
Exceptional Aging and Craftsmanship
The Riserva is created with deep respect for tradition, dominated by Prugnolo Gentile (Sangiovese), which here displays its most powerful and complex expression. The wine undergoes an extended, meticulous aging process of up to three years in a combination of large oak casks (botti) and smaller barriques, followed by prolonged bottle maturation before release. This yields a red wine with monumental yet silky tannins, great acidity balance, and enormous aging potential.
